Scholarship Description
The Nestlé Scholarship for Women is a Need-based Scholarship program for Women from developing countries to study in Switzerland.
The Nestle Scholarship for Women was first awarded in 1997 and was initiated by a group of IMD- Switzerland- MBA (Masters in Business Administration) participants who desired to encourage women to take the MBA courses.
The Nestlé Scholarship helps women through the IMD MBA program. Preference are given to women from developing countries including but not limited to African female Students.
Eligibility
Women candidates who have already applied to the full-time IMD MBA program and who demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is open to accepted women candidates from around the globe (employees of Nestlé and its subsidiaries are not eligible) and preference is given to women who come from the developing world.
In order to be eligible for the IMD MBA program you will need to meet the following criteria.

2) Submitting an essay discussing the issue/topic below

Worldwide i.e. citizens of ALL countries (with preference given to women from Developing Countries)

Scholarship benefits
The value of the award is CHF 25000
Method of Application
Applicants must have been accepted into the IMD MBA program prior to their scholarship application. It is important to note that employees of Nestlé and its subsidiaries are not eligible. In order to begin your IMD MBA application, you will need to register by creating a username and password.
For acceptance into the IMD MBA Program - you may use the MBA online application. Applicants are also required to submit an "MBA Financial Aid Application Form". The deadline for applying for this scholarship is as stated below. In addition, you must submit an essay discussing the issue: “Many have argued that greater diversity in the Top Management team of an organization is good for profits and customers. What would you recommend as ways to achieve greater diversity?” (maximum 750 words; use the "essay template" as found on the official website)
The scholarship applications are essay based, with winning essays typically including the following features:
DEADLINES:
Entries must be received by September 30. Thus the deadline for scholarship applications to be submitted is 30th September every year. Before applying for the scholarship, you must have applied for admissions using the MBA online application (see above) by any of these course application deadlines: February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1 and September 1.

IMD reserves the right not to award a scholarship if the criteria are not met to the satisfaction of the jury/sponsors.
IMD encourages talented women executives to apply for its annual Nestle Scholarship, which offers CHF 25,000 towards the cost of the school’s prestigious MBA program. IMD is determined to maximize the number of eligible women who benefit from its various financial aid packages, so judges from IMD and Nestlé concentrate on candidates who will not be receiving other scholarships.
The Nestlé MBA Scholarship was established in 1996 after a team of women MBAs from the class of 1995 completed a project called “Changing the shape of business” and then Nestlé gladly agreed to fund the scholarship.

- Age range 25-35
- GMAT (80% of our MBA participants score between 620 and 750)
- A minimum of three years full-time work experience
- A strong command of written and spoken English
- At least one language in addition to English
