About: The Syracuse University (commonly referred to as Syracuse, ‘Cuse, or SU[7]) is a private research university in Syracuse, New York, United States. The institution’s roots can be traced to the Genesee Wesleyan Seminary (later becoming Genesee College), founded in 1831 by the Methodist Episcopal Church in Lima, New York.
Scholarship Description: Syracuse University is offering Merit Based Scholarships for International Students. Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate programme.

Scholarship Benefits: There are three merit scholarships to recognize academic achievement for top students admitted to programs across the University:
- The Founders’ Scholarship ($20,000 annually)
- Chancellor’s Scholarship ($15,000 annually)
- Dean’s Scholarship ($10,000 annually).
A select number of specialized scholarships for superbly accomplished students are also awarded:
- The Full Tuition 1870 Scholarship ($45,150 annually): The 1870 Scholarship is the highest recognition offered by the Office of Admissions. Named for the year in which the university was founded, prospective recipients are evaluated for academic and creative accomplishments, as well as personal achievement and commitment in community service, demonstrated caring for others, and a global perspective. 1870 Scholars are admitted to the Honors Program.
- Excellence Scholarship ($30,000 annually)
- Archbold-Day Scholarship ($25,000 annually): Inspired by the significant campus expansion realized by former Chairman of the Board of Trustees, John D. Archbold, and the fourth Chancellor of Syracuse University, James Roscoe Day, this award recognizes students who show exceptional leadership potential and the promise of changing the world for the better. Archbold-Day scholars are admitted to the Honors Program.
- Achievement Scholarship ($22,575 annually)
- Distinguished Art Portfolio Award ($10,000 annually)
- Distinguished Drama Performance Award ($10,000 annually)
- Distinguished Music Performance Award ($10,000 annually)
- Distinguished Architecture Portfolio Award ($10,000 annually).
Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in, or have graduated from, an accredited secondary school.
Eligible Nationalities: International students can apply for these scholarships.

- Standardized test scores: SAT (old or new) or ACT. Essay is not required with the new SAT. ACT writing section is not required.
